Girls

I have been looking through old pictures of Jessica lately while trying to get her montage together. I saw all the girly things she used to do...

like, tea parties with her dolls..

and dress up....

I can't show you any more pictures.... montage.... but there are many.

Then I thought about the things Alyssa plays with...

Cars, trains, Ben 10 guys.. she likes spiderman costumes and batman...
She likes sports, and rough housing...

She does do some girly things sometimes, I guess. Maybe it's ok to be a tomboy if you do it with a girlish flair...

And maybe it's ok to wear a boy's Cars shirt if you are coloring on a hello kitty notepad.

But I would really like to get her back more towards this...

I decided that it may be my fault that she likes boy things. Maybe I should have directed her towards the girly stuff instead of always letting her play with Will and his things.

So this past weekend I decided to bring up little chairs, and dolls, and play food and dishes so that she can learn about tea parties.

And guess what? She loved it. She wanted to do it all day!

And yesterday afternoon I decided to take her shopping with me and the girls. We went to Justice, one of the most girly stores in the world. Alyssa ran in and out of the fitting room while Emily and Jessica tried on clothes. She stared at herself in the mirror. Oh and she licked the mirror a few times (gross). She ran over to a rack of t-shirts, and insisted on trying on a hot pink t-shirt. I wasn't going to let her because the smallest size in the store is a 6, but little girls know what they want, and she wanted that shirt. Of course it fit her, and so did the shorts.. so embarrassing!!! She is still wearing that t-shirt right now actually. She wouldn't take it off. And that is pretty gross since she laid on the store floor with it on, and ate dinner with it on, and slept in it...

This is her picking out a book to read last night. She chose Star Wars... heroes and villains.

This is her throwing a tantrum... size 6 shirt.... my little giant.

It's too bad I didn't think of taking pictures at the store.

Ah.... an afternoon shopping with the girls... what can be better?

I guess it's kinda like the husband watching Will play hockey...

By the way, Alyssa wants to do that too!
