Recap

On tuesday, my kids decided that they wanted to play in the snow. It had kinda been a dull day.... we visited my grandmother and went to my niece's dance class (for family day), which was actually really cute, but we didn't really do anything exciting. So when they said they wanted to play in the snow I had to oblige.

I'm not sure if I stressed this enough but I am NOT a fan of snow! Anyway, the girls got on sweats and boots, Will and Alyssa put on snowpants and all that stuff.... and out we went.

Jon came home shortly after we went outside and joined in the fun..... throwing snowballs.... building a snowman.... We used candy balls for its eyes, mouth and buttons. A carrot for its nose. Gave it a hat mittens and a scarf. It was a cute little snowman.

About an hour later, I ran out to buy a couple things to make dinner and was horrified when I saw our little snowman.

The candy had bled and now we had a bloody looking mess of a snowman. So sad. :(

So we made a snowman for the inside of our house. This one won't melt or bleed. This one did not make me cold. It is my kind of snowman....

Wednesday I took the kids to the movies. We saw Alvin & The Chipmunks... the squeakquel. It was kinda cute, my kids liked it a lot. I spent half the time in the hallway with Alyssa. The best part was getting 5 free passes to another movie because the picture was messed up for the first few minutes. I can't remember the last time I saw an adult movie in the theater, but I am looking forward to doing so very soon (George Clooney.... Up In The Air).

And now for the big news!!!!

We took the kids ice skating yesterday. Alyssa had never worn skates in her whole life! We put the hockey skates on her (at least one size too big mind you) and she walked around on the floor as if she were a pro. No falling, no ankle sagging, walking around like she had done it her whole life.

On the ice was a slightly different story. She was kinda like jello. But like really heavy, over 30 pounds, of jello. She had so much fun skating with me and Jon holding her up! She was so cute. It didn't last very long, but seeing her in those skates was absolutely precious!

Last night, I watched Twilight with Jessica and Emily. I am not the biggest fan of it, but I can see why they like it. .

Anyway, that's all I gotta say today. Happy Holidays to those celebrating!
