Tuesday night I woke up at 2:30 AM to a pounding sound. Every minute or so ... boom. I started walking around my house trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. The last time I ignored a loud noise in the middle of the night my grill got stolen right off my deck! No joke, when I called the police the next day they said that they actually stopped a guy pushing a grill up McCormick (a major street) and asked where he got it. The guy told the cops that his friend had given it to him, so the cops let him go. Well I wasn't going to let that happen again.
I thought maybe someone was trying to break into my house. I went downstairs but couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from. When I realized it wasn't loud enough to be my house, I thought maybe someone was trying to break into my neighbor's house. I went upstairs to the bathroom and opened the window and saw a car driving slowly through the alley. I was very suspicious, but then the car drove away. I went back downstairs and opened my blinds a crack so I could look outside. There was a guy with a flashlight staring into his trunk. Every minute or so he tried to slam his trunk closed and it would pop back open...... boom.... boom.... boom.
O.K. you may think I'm a little jumpy and dramatic but we have had crazy neighbors who have been robbing people lately. I think the police arrested most of them and kicked the rest out of their rented house, but I mean, come on, I gotta protect my family... :)
Well after all that excitement I couldn't just go back to sleep so I watched Big Brother on my computer till 3:45 AM when I was finally tired again.
And once again, after driving Will to camp went to the Starbucks drive- thru for my regular (iced grande nonfat one splenda latte).
And now, a hilarious Big Brother moment.....
I think I'm in love with Jeff..... sigh.
